Homemade Valentine’s day decorations
Mix and match votives
Give those scraps of paper headed for the recycling bin an extra shot to shine. This concept works together with all sorts of paper-even young kids’ artwork.
What you require:
Assorted paper, Washi Tape, Ribbon
Double-sided Tape
Votives
Wrap paper around votive for sizing; cut to necessary length. Adhere strips of paper to votive with double-sided tape.
Think outside the box and still have awesome. Wrap some with just paper and layer others with ribbon and tape.
Paper Flower Wreath
Think tissue is just destined for gift boxes? Rethink it. This winter we’re putting it on display.
The thing you need:
Scissors
Tissue
Floral Wire
Styrofoam Wreath
Hot Glue Gun
Cut tissue into 8″x 5″ rectangles. Placing the lighter colors at the top, stack 4-6 waste tissue paper on top of the other. Make ½” to a single” accordion fold creasing with each fold.
Fold floral wire and over center of folded tissue and twist.
With scissors, trim ends of tissue into rounded or pointy shapes. Separate layers individually. Hot glue tissue flowers onto styrofoam wreath.
