Removing blackheads with home remedies

Blackheads are clogged pores filled with oil deposits and dead skin cells, when oil and dead skin cells become trapped in a pore and mix with bacteria blackheads are formed. Blackheads are the primary lesions in acne. They are hardened sebum which blacken with exposure to the air and are embedded deep into the pores. These if not taken care of can lead to pimples and acne.
- Deep pore cleansing is a must and one can do this after a light massage using a gentle face scrub.
- Soak cotton wool in pure lemon juice, and apply on problem areas.
- Cleanse your face with unboiled milk, gently rub a coarse cloth dipped in milk to remove the blackheads. Milk helps to get rid of blackheads permanently in some cases.
- Soak a face napkin in a solution of one and a half cups of hot water and one teaspoon of boric powder. Press this napkin on the face, repeat. Extract blackheads with a blackhead remover and sterilized cotton.
- Fresh mint juice is a very effective remedy for blackheads. Apply this fresh mint juice on the face every night for the treatment of blackheads.
- Green tea face scrub is also good solution for blackheads removal.
- An ideal mask that extracts dirt and oil from clogged pores can be made by using orange peel and yogurt. It opens up the clogged pores that cause acne and blackheads.
- Rub oatmeal paste on face, leave it to dry for 15 minutes and scrub well before washing off with cold water.
- Mix one tsp. of lemon juice and one tsp. of ground cinnamon into a paste and use it as a scrub and wash with warm water.
- Make a paste using apple cider vinegar and cornstarch, apply on blackhead affected area and let it dry for sometimes, then using warm water easily wash the area.
- Steaming and washing is the best remedy for blackheads. Add some Epsom salt to the water and then steam your face for 10 minutes and your pores will be wide open. Then extract the blackheads with a cotton wool and finally close the pores with an astringent lotion.
- Pat some almond or olive oil on the blackheads and press with hot towel to loosen and remove blackheads.
- A solution made with warm water and soda bicarbonate works wonders when rubbed on blackheads.
